We're in escrow! Our first home, and it's a dream home!
The property is in the super nice lawyer/doctor community "Town and River" community of Fort Myers. It sits on half an acre (!!!), it's on the water, and it has a huge gorgeous dock on the canal where dolphins swim... a huge pool, a waterfall hot tub, an outdoor shower... I mean what else could you want! It felt like paradise when we looked at it.
The house itself is approximately 3300sqft... and I'm sure we won't even have enough furniture to fill it up! It's a 3bd/4bath that could easily be converted into 4br...
The nice thing is that we didn't end up buying one of those houses that someone had "fixed up" - since Ryan is so good at doing stuff like that himself. This will allow us to grow into the house and make changes as we go. We already have thought of tons of ideas, but we will be patient!
Hope this goes through! Here it is:
It's 2016 and we're relocating to Florida. We're also "expecting", and expecting lots of new adventures in our new home. Why not start a blog that will allow us to share our lives with close friends and family! Social media has become overwhelming and each of us has too many "friends" to be sharing everything with. So here we go.

Pregnancy Announcement (and it's official)
So we took our sweet time with announcing, especially given the fact that we are in our 30s and they really freak you out about your age when it comes to having children, no matter how active and healthy you are.
Nevertheless, we (or I) pretty much told the ones closest to us right away, you know, the ones you talk to almost every day.... when the embryo was still a ball of cells. It was awesome to see how happily excited everyone was, and how our family and closest friends continue offering their support and advice as we embark this crazy journey.
Finally at the end of March we made it known to the rest of our friends.

Au revoir Colorado
Colorado is a great place.... to visit. =) The house that Ryan stayed in was cool though, very scenic and lots of trees and nature. We had fun there last summer when Ryan had a week off and we got to explore all the national parks and sand dunes etc. Will miss it a little bit... and I am sure we will visit Colorado for snowboarding etc =)

Decisions decisions... and Fort Myers, FL
I always told Ryan that, if we continue living in the United States, I would be open to live in either California or Florida.
Hence, for the last 1.5+ years, since Ryan's job was in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I had just opened a law office in LA, we've been living apart, commuting, sometimes twice a month, to see each other. Although difficult at times, it was the right choice for us. We each had gone through tremendous amounts of education to get out JDs and MDs respectively, and become eager to start our careers and step it up in this world, so that a compromise as to our careers wouldn't have created much but perhaps a bit of resentment.
After a few changes however, including this pregnancy, me reaching my goal of paying off my student loans, Ryan paying of half of his, and his hospital groups receiving news that all jobs were to be turned from partnership jobs to employee jobs, we had to reassess the situation and Ryan accepted a wonderful partnership track job in Fort Myers, Florida, located on the gold coast (wessideeeee of Florida).
